new years eve eve

colors kaleidoscope
new years rage
haunting on a memory
dancing on a star
past wrongs future writes
headlights blur and im motion sick
twisting and turning
and theres a song by those words
right side down
and happy in a cork pop
everyone is counting down
and its not tomorrow yet
but tidings bring talk of a certain wave
washing out the cheer
dont want to think to remember the past
its all too depressing
this year
