How's the weather?

I cling
Like saran wrap
I dream
Like tic tacs
Of breaking free of my plastic cage
Escaping into teeth

I hear
Your voice in my dreams
I see
Your words on the screen

When I sleep
The silences and blank spaces
Are filled
With exactly what I want to hear
I make you my false prophet
At night while I lie here
Lying to myself

You and me
We are pretentious lovers
Trying too hard to create a storm

And it is gently raining
But that's all.
